[Flash 10 is required to watch video.]

Credo Rally organized a clean up at Callahan Neighborhood Center last Saturday, thanks so much to everyone who came out.

We plan to do these the second Saturday of every month. Join us. Push through confusion and awkwardness to impact our city and live lives of meaning, impact, and community.

    In the words of Ben.

    This past Saturday was great.

It’s been a while, but it just feels right.

I’ve learned where the trash is and feel comfortable walking through the streets.

There was a good mix of folks and lots of kids this Saturday. We picked up over 30bags of trash.

But these things are always less organized then they could be.

I mean I don’t tend to be a detail oriented person. So this week I forgot to get plates for our lunch (we ate pasta salad out of cups with our fingers). As I was confessing my short comings to a friend he reminded me of the point. He said, “It’s not about putting on some great event. It’s about giving people the chance to do something.”

    That was helpful.

See, it’s not like I’m a cruise director planning excursions for folks or tailoring peoples’ experience so they avoid confusion or awkwardness. That’s often where the fullest expressions of life are.

Reminder: the Credo is about who we are. Clean-ups like this past Saturday are steps toward the goal, not the goal themselves. We want to be the sorts of people who push through confusion and awkwardness to impact our city, the world, and ourselves for good because we are convinced that when we are those sorts of people, we’ll like life even better

Thanks to the teachers and all who came out for our first series of workshops. We’re lining up three more for July 9th, 16th, and 23rd. Stay tuned.

credo conduit is one division of Downtown Credo (http://downtowncredo.com/) that is creating opportunities to equip, connect and feature creative endeavors that engage people into lives of meaning, impact and community.

conduit believes that people can transform lives using their talents so we work to empower people with ideas and abilities. orlando is full of talent, we want to be intentional about bringing those people together and involving them in a story bigger than themselves; deep sense of unity rarely develops spontaneously.

we want to re-think value and set up a system where teachers and students alike learn and connect in a space where everyone has something valuable to exchange.

classes are taught for free, escaping expense, agenda, and bureaucracy. teachers and students meet voluntarily to discuss relevant topics, inform, and educate each other in skill-share seminars.
